Of the three designers I have engaged in as many homes over the years, Morgan Taylor of Brass Bones Design surpassed them by successfully helping us achieve a most daunting challenge of downsizing from an 8,000 sq. ft. Georgian Colonial home to a transitional design half that size. We were relocating from Bethesda, MD to the Willowsford Farm community in Loudoun County, VA and knew not a single interior designer to help us with the transition. Our realtor suggested Morgan and we engaged her based on her impressive design renderings and whole job fixed fee billing structure.
It was clear that we would not be able to incorporate all our traditional furniture into the home style we purchased, but we were going to try to blend our favorite pieces. Morgan took pictures of all our Bethesda rooms and subsequently presented us with a visually creative master plan blending our traditional pieces with new transitional ones that we have gradually implemented over this past year.
I have loved working with Morgan! She has that rare blend of being both creative and analytical. She created meticulous spreadsheets documenting our selections so we always knew where we stood financially. She is wonderfully creative with fabrics, resourceful in suggesting ways to save money, and has provided us with exceptional customer service.
It was such a pleasure to work with Morgan. She did an amazing job of integrating my existing furniture into a new, beautiful room for my daughter. She really got my style and did an awesome job of providing feedback and suggestions on items I had been considering for the space before starting the project with her. She is the second designer I've worked with and provided a far superior experience. Not only does she have great taste, but she's a prompt and clear communicator. I highly recommend her!
